The Z-54 Triple-Wavelength Diode Laser System

The Z-54 is a triple-wavelength diode laser system for permanent hair reduction, engineered to treat all Fitzpatrick skin types — from very light to very dark — with a single device and a single handpiece.

Unlike single-wavelength diode lasers, the Z-54 fires 755nm (Alexandrite), 808nm (Diode), and 1064nm (Nd:YAG) wavelengths in synergy. Each wavelength targets a different structure within the hair follicle, allowing the laser to disable the follicle more thoroughly, more comfortably, and across a far broader range of skin and hair types than conventional systems.

How It Works

Each wavelength is selectively absorbed by melanin in the hair shaft and follicle. As the follicle heats, its structure is damaged and its ability to regrow hair is significantly reduced. Because the Z-54 combines three depths of penetration (2–12 mm) in one pass, it reaches follicles at different levels of the skin — improving results while lowering the energy required for any single wavelength alone.
